Belgian expat Christian V. won a staggering €76K in the France Loto on 11 July 2015 after a decade of successful lottery play at TheLotter.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I am 72 years old. I was born in Antwerp, Belgium and moved to Venezuela when I was 30 years old. I lived in Venezuela for 34 years, but for the past eight years I have lived in Costa Rica. Next week I will be moving to Spain.

How long have you been playing lotteries?

I started playing the lotteries online through TheLotter 10 years ao, when I was still living in Venezuela.

I admit I’ve always been a bit of a gambler – that is, I believe in luck. While living in Venezuela with my partner, who is very keen on numbers, we used to pool money together for lottery tickets.

What is your strategy?

I always check my luck before playing. I go by my gut feeling and have a few tricks to test my luck. I choose whether to play on a particular day depending on how lucky I am feeling. I have a bit of a psychic in me. I only play when I feel like I am being helped by somebody out of this world.

Have you won anything before?

I used to bet on horses in Venezuela and once won a car. However, the biggest win of my life was through TheLotter.

The prize money will definitely help me with the move to Spain.
