Ontario 49 Rules
Players choose six numbers from a 49 number guess range to try their luck at the unwavering CAD$2 million jackpot. During the draw, the winning numbers are drawn through a mechanical lottery ball machine. A bonus number is also selected, which enables players to win the 2nd prize category with five out of six correct numbers and the bonus number for a prize of CAD$50,000.
On theLotter, players can enter their lucky numbers in a 6-line or 10-line form, or a systematic form of 7, 8 or 9 numbers. A systematic form creates all possible line combinations from the selected numbers and increases players’ chances of winning a prize.
Online Ontario 49 players can enjoy three number selection options according to their preference: a Quick Pick, in which the numbers are automatically selected by a computerized system; a Natural Selection, in which players manually select the numbers; or My Lucky Numbers, which applies players’ pre-selected saved numbers on theLotter to the form.
Players can enjoy great discounts when purchasing Subscriptions or Multi-Draws at theLotter. Multi-Draws are sold in 5, 10, 25 or 52 consecutive draw packages for a specific lottery with an increasing discount of up to 25%.
Subscriptions enable players to take part in all future draws of their chosen lottery using their pre-selected numbers and receive every 10th ticket free!
The Ontario 49 occurs every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:00 pm eastern time (GMT-5:00) and tickets sales on theLotter close approximately 3 hours before the draw.

Winning the Ontario 49
During Ontario 49 lottery draws, seven numbers are drawn from a single lottery drum: six regular numbers and an extra bonus number. Jackpots are a constant $2 million, which will be divided between players if there is more than one 1st place winner.
Starting with 1:6.6 winning odds, the tax-free prizes must be claimed within one year from the date of the draw. There are seven prize categories which players can win: guessing 6/6 numbers creates jackpot winners, guessing 5/6 numbers + the bonus ball awards the winners CAD$50,000, guessing 5/6 numbers without the bonus number enables players to win CAD$500, guessing 4/6 numbers awards winners CAD$50, guessing 3/6 numbers without the bonus ball awards winners $10, guessing 2/6 numbers with the bonus ball awards winners $3, and the last prize category consists of winners correctly guessing 2/6 numbers for a free ticket.
