Lucky ten to split Lotto 6/49 jackpot prize!
Calling themselves the ‘Windsor 10’, a very lucky syndicate has stepped forward to claim the jackpot in Lotto 6/49’s April 1st drawing. The total jackpot amount was CAD $35 million, and was won by six tickets across the country, making the Windsor 10 syndicate the recipients of CAD $5.82 million, to be split among them.
All ten members work, or have worked at a Windsor healthcare facility, and have been playing together for 25 years! Group leader Deborah Mailoux recently spoke at a press conference, remarking how she usually checks the numbers – all picked by the group members – a week after the draw. But having been told that a winning ticket was bought in her area, she rushed home and handed the ticket over to her husband, who was checking his own ticket! “Suddenly he said, ‘Oh my god, you got all six numbers. You won!’ “
One of the group members, Sharad Sharma, was overseas in India visiting family, having just retired, when he got wind of the news. Having been contacted by a friend on social media, Sharma rushed home so he could rejoice with his friends.
Each member of the group will take home CAD $582, 800, and all plan on contributing to erecting a memorial garden for those syndicate members who have passed on. For your chance to be part of a winning syndicate, just choose from the many theLotter has to offer; see them all here!
