EuroMillions UK Millionaire Raffle Winners Still Missing – August 1st, 2012

Winning the lottery must leave people feeling pretty good about life.

The first thing many would do is contact the relevant lottery agency and set about claiming their prize. However, Camelot has announced it is still waiting on 21 EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle winners to come forward.

To coincide with the start of the Olympic Games, last Friday (July 27th) 100 prizes of £1 million were handed out. Surprisingly, only 79 people have so far made themselves known to Camelot, which means some have either forgot to look at the winning EuroMillions numbers, or they are taking some time to let the feeling of being a millionaire sink in.

A National Lottery spokesman said: “Friday night was massive for the nation and was even bigger for our 79 new millionaires. We urge all players to check their tickets to help us push this record even higher.

“In addition to creating so many overnight millionaires, these big draws help boost the £30 million plus raised for National Lottery Good Causes by players every week.”

The draw has already set a record for creating the most millionaires in one night, as it far outweighs the previous EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle mark set on December 23rd 2011, when 25 people received a seven-figure sum.

Hopefully the 21 individuals who have yet to come forward will check their lottery tickets soon, as then they will be able to start planning out how they are going to spend the fortune.

For some, it will be a dream holiday or house, while others may use the cash to buy last minute tickets so they can watch some of the Olympics, such as swimming , in the flesh and in a style they are not been accustomed to.

One lucky winner from the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle on July 3rd has also failed to claim their prize. The winning ticket was bought in the London Borough of Barnet and the person has until December 30th to make themselves known.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery stated the group really wants to find this person so they can receive their life-changing sum.
