We all want to know winning tips and tricks for various lotteries whether online or offline. Lottery material can be found in books and online tutorials, but sometimes a little visualization helps more than any strategy.
I found a nice video on how to play the Powerball game and I think that you will enjoy it too:
It appears that some luck has fallen upon Millington – two lottery tickets worth $1 million were purchased in less than two weeks. The first Power ball lottery ticket was sold at the Raceway convenience store on Highway 51 and the second one was sold in nearby convenience store called Penny Pantry.
Donald Damon, who was recently laid off his trucking job due to his age, took home a $96.6 million Powerball Lottery jackpot. His wife Kathleen, who had to keep three jobs to support them, doesn’t have to work again, well not for money, that’s a sure thing. She worked at a senior’s center, a medical office and a beauty salon after her husband was fired.
Since Mr. Damon’s daughter told him that someone in Great Bend, Kansas won the Powerball Lottery, he asked her to check the winning numbers for him. He was stunned to discover that his lottery ticket won $96.6 million. Now Mr. Damon aims to pay off his debts and live happily ever after with his wife.
William Shanteau is a lucky winner of a $1.2 million in Powerball lottery, yet he plans to keep working until will be privileged of retirement. The funny thing is that Mr. Shanteau won lottery in the past by purchasing a ticket at the same store, and despite being a new millionaire intends to invest most of his fortune.
The lucky Powerball Lottery ticket was purchased at Shirley’s Carry Out together with 13 Chrysler workers attempting to take home a $97 million Powerball jackpot. The store became famous after Mr. Shanteau winning and currently attracts customers from other counties that come to buy lottery tickets.
You probably wonder how William Shanteau plans to spend his winnings. It’s not a surprise that he shares a special love for cars, so the first thing he buys is a red Chevrolet Corvette. Currently William works in the paint shop at the Chrysler Jefferson North Assembly plant in Detroit as an autoworker.
Frank Griffin, a retired firefighter, won a $141 million Powerball lottery jackpot when he had $5 left in his pocket. The computer picked the numbers for Frank’s lottery ticket. Frank Griffin donated $700,000 to build a softball field for softball championships, which will contain a laundry room, space for video study, locker rooms and seatback chairs.
Lottery officials declare that a $50000 power ball lottery ticket from May 30, 2009 is still unclaimed and the award expires on May 30, 2010, one year from the date of the drawing.
The lucky Power ball lottery ticket was sold at Stop-N-Go Mini Market in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The lottery winning numbers matched four of five drawn numbers, 01-23-42-51 (59 is the Power ball number).
How can the lucky winner claim his prize? Pennsylvania lottery officials asked the ticket holder to call 717-702-8146 and file a claim within the next two weeks at Lottery headquarters.
Since during the weekend no one has won the peak award, the Powerball jackpot climbs to $190 M. If you haven’t bought your lottery ticket yet, buy it before this Wednesday and you might be the lucky winner of $190M.
Only two tickets made their buyers very happy: one in Delavan for $200000 and another one in Wisconsin for $10000. This Wednesday if you will be the only winner, you can receive $99 million in cash or in 30 annual installments. You are welcome to read some Powerball winning tips on my blog.
According to Superior Court Judge, Cynthia K. Swienton, Rose Bakaysa doesn’t have to share a $500,000 Powerball lottery jackpot with her older sister, Theresa Sokaitis.
The two sisters signed a notarized contract in which they agreed to split all their winnings equally. They used to travel often to Connecticut casinos and play the lottery together until a feud ended their communication in 2004.
The case has been awaiting decision since 2005. The Superior Court Judge Cynthia K. Swienton dismissed Sokaitis’ lawsuit since a Connecticut law does not recognize the sisters’ agreement. The judge stated in her decision: “While the court may be able to resolve the legal dispute, it is powerless to repair the discord and strife that now overshadows the once harmonious sisterly relationship.”
In most cases, income earned by non-U.S. residents in the United States (U.S.) is taxed according to the mandates of tax treaties, if any, between the U.S. and the foreigner’s country of nationality. If a non-resident plays the lottery while in the U.S. and wins, is she/he subject to income tax in the U.S.? The following case shows how the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) considered proceeds from a California lottery won by an Israeli national, under the U.S.-Israel Income Tax Treaty.
