“If I can win a bit of extra cash, we’ll manage better,” he stated.

Lottery players who are lucky enough to land an enormous jackpot such as the $67 million USA Powerball top payout expected this Saturday (December 10th) may not know about the difference between lump sums and annuities.
Those who have read about big winners in the news may have heard these terms bandied about but they may not be entirely sure as to what they mean, but in short, they identify how the lotto winner receives his or her payment.
Lump sum
A lump sum is a popular way of getting hold of lottery winnings because this means the amount a person is entitled to – in some cases after tax – is then given to the individual or deposited into their bank account as a cash payment all in one go, rather than being released in instalments over a number of years.
Annuity
An annuity is a jackpot win that is collected in instalments over a number of years rather than in one go.
Lottery games sometimes operate with annuities to create higher jackpots because this means they can offer bigger prizes than their immediate cash holdings will allow.
An annuity-backed jackpot winner will collect their prize money in instalments over a period of several years – usually 20 or 25 years.

The USA is one nation that loves its lottery games, with a recent survey revealing one-in-five Americans knows a lotto winner personally.
And it is no surprise the country is in love with playing the lottery, because with big-prize draws such as USA Mega Millions and the USA Florida Lotto, it is hard to resist the hype these enormous jackpots bring about.
According to Poll Position, 62 per cent of all Americans have entered a lottery draw at some point – which also includes playing the lotto online.
This week there are some really big jackpot draws taking place in the US, with the next USA Mega Millions game taking place tomorrow (December 6th) with a top prize of $87 million.
The USA Powerball draw on Wednesday (December 7th) promises an estimated $52 million payout to anybody who gets all five numbers plus the Powerball correct.
Furthermore, the next USA Florida Lotto game – which is also on Wednesday – is going to have a top prize of around $41 million, while the Indiana Hoosier Lottery draw looks to have a jackpot of $24 million when the balls are drawn that evening too.
Fans of these great games can have a go at winning a juicy payout and check estimated jackpots and lottery results at theLotter.

Going for the number 13 could reduce a person’s chances of having to share an Italian SuperEnalotto jackpot, as it has been revealed that many players consider this digit unlucky, which could mean fewer people select it when entering a lottery draw.
According to MSN Money, aversion to the digit 13 – which is also known as triskaidekaphobia – could mean that if the ball with that number on it is drawn during a lotto game, less people may have selected it, resulting in a lower chance of sharing a payout with somebody who chose the same numbers on their ticket.
Italian SuperEnalotto fans can also apply this same logic with the number seven, because in Europe this is considered a lucky digit and is therefore more likely to be chosen by superstitious lottery players – which might mean skipping seven reduces the chances of sharing a prize.
Finally, it was recommended not to neglect numbers over 31 – as anything under this number is more popular because of lotto fans’ fondness for picking birthdays when playing the lottery.
Lottery fans may want to see if these tips work out for them when they play the next Italian SuperEnalotto draw tomorrow (December 6th).
The game could make a lucky lotto player very happy indeed, as the jackpot is estimated to be €40 million – which could make the holiday season a little easier on the wallet.

A Canadian lotto winner is either laying low or has not realised they have scooped C$21 million playing their favourite draw last week.
Fans of such north American lottery games as Canada Lotto 649 may be interested to learn that Ontario lotto officials told the Toronto Sun that lucky players who scoop prizes tend to make themselves known quite soon after they realise their good fortune, but sometimes they wait before collecting their riches.
Spokesman for the province’s lottery office Tony Bitonti said: “We do know where it’s been purchased … it’s part of our prize verification process.”
He added that sometimes lotto winners show up at the retailer and other times they will go straight to the lottery headquarters brandishing their winning numbers.
Mr Bitonti revealed that when such fortunate lotto fans come forward, they are interviewed before any cheques are handed out to ascertain where they entered the draw and how often they play the same numbers.
The winning Canada Lotto Max ticket is said to have been bought in Barrie and fans can check the results of the draw online at theLotter.

For some lottery winners, getting used to owing a large amount of money can be a daunting thing, but for one USA Powerball player, the luxury lifestyle began even before he collected his prize.
According to Wtop, Shawn Niedomanski rocked up to the Maryland Lottery headquarters in a chauffeur-driven limousine with three of his best friends and his wife, brother and nephew to claim his $200,000 windfall.
The fortunate lotto fan had waited two weeks to go and see lottery officials about his prize money, deciding to drop by on his 50th birthday to make the social occasion even more memorable.
But despite his grand arrival to collect the lump cash sum, Mr Niedomanski has got both feet firmly on the ground when it comes to how he will spend his winnings, revealing he will use the cash to pay off his bills.
Lottery fans who do not live in the States like Mr Niedomanski can still get in on the action and play online Powerball at theLotter.
The next draw will take place on Saturday (November 26th) and lotto enthusiasts who take part could win as much as $25 million.

USA Powerball players may have noticed that last Saturday’s (November 19th) draw resulted in one lucky fan winning the coveted $59.9 million jackpot.
The ticket was sold in Exeter, Pennsylvania and the Times Leader has taken to the streets of the small town to ask its locals how they would spend such a fortune.
Shavertown resident Margo Harvey said she would share a lotto jackpot payout with everybody and would ensure family and friends were given the support they need, as well as donating some money to organisations that help children.
Carmen Donato of West Pittson revealed he would probably split such a huge amount of cash between his three sons and their families – after all, with $59.9 million, there is plenty to share around.
Tom Connell, who is 59, said he has no use for such a massive payout and so would give it all away to starving and sick people.
Wyoming resident Jeff Murphy has his plans for lottery finances all set out and claimed: “I would probably take the cash, take care of the family … [and] take a cruise.”
He also has political aspirations for his dream USA Powerball millions, revealing he would use the cash to back a Republican candidate in the next presidential elections.
The USA Powerball top prize has now reset to $20 million and lottery fans who want to try their hand at landing this tidy sum for themselves can get in the game in time for tonight’s (November 23rd) draw.

This summer’s record-smashing EuroMillions winners – Christine and Colin Weir from Largs in Scotland – have lavished €185,000 on new cars for their friends.
According to the Daily Record, the couple – who scooped €185 million in July playing the European lottery – have snapped up six vehicles on sale at a local Suzuki dealership, keeping two of the Japanese autos for themselves.
Their choice of car could be proof that the multimillionaires are relatively down to earth, given that their incredible wealth could afford them the world’s most expensive car, a €1.4 million Aston Martin One77.
In addition to buying Suzukis, the Weirs let one friend choose his own new set of wheels and picked up the bill for the black €92,000 Mercedes when he had decided what he wanted.
An insider close to the pair told the newspaper: “Since their incredible win, they have helped out lots of friends but have done so discreetly. They don’t want any fuss but they have always been generous.”
Indeed, the recipient of one of the Suzukis the Weirs purchased has claimed the lotto win will not change them and by purchasing cars from local showrooms they are also doing the region’s economy some good.
Lottery fans who have their hearts set on a Suzuki – or any make of car for that matter – may want to buy EuroMillions tickets online at theLotter to be in with a chance of winning Friday’s (November 25th) €35 million jackpot.

Lottery fans may never know when their lucky numbers will come through for them and one pair of players have admitted they were taken totally by surprise when the realised they won AUD$465,425 playing Australian Saturday Lotto on holiday.
According to Perth Now, the retired lottery enthusiasts decided to buy the tickets on the spur of the moment, popping into a shop while enjoying a getaway in the south-west of the country.
However, neither the husband nor wife realised they had struck gold until they remembered to check their three lines of numbers when they arrived home this week – the third and final of which turned out to be a winner.
The woman said: “I kept checking the numbers again and again. When I finally realised we had all six numbers I yelled, ‘Yippee!’”
These travel-mad two have already decided how they will spend their winnings, deciding to invest in a new caravan to enjoy more cross country adventures.
Furthermore, the lotto windfall has come just in time for the festive season.
They said: “It will be an extra special Christmas for the whole family this year.”
The couple also claimed the lottery payout will help them achieve the retirement they have always wanted, which is one that is stress-free and full of travelling.
Australian Saturday Lotto fans keen to get involved in the next draw can do so this weekend on November 26th!

A group of 23 women enjoying a quilting retreat near Salem, Massachusetts, are celebrating after their getaway resulted in them winning $200,000 playing USA Powerball.
According to the Register Guard, the ladies – most of whom come from Eugene in Oregon, will be splitting their prize money, resulting in them getting around $5,000 apiece, with the gang using the cash to help fund future breaks together at the Silver Falls Conference Center to enjoy their pastime.
It transpires they pooled their money and bought 26 lines for the October 29th USA Powerball game – which had a $200 million jackpot.
The ladies also entered the lotto for their friends who were not in attendance and bought tickets for the draw while doing a fabric run.
Over the next couple of days, the group did what all lottery fans do – fantasize about how they would spend a top prize – before checking the newspaper and realising their luck had come in, even if it was not a jackpot win.
As a result of the good fortune, the women have been dubbed the Getaway Girls.
Adonna Roelke, who works at the Springfied-based PacificSource health insurance company and organises the quilting breaks, stated: “It’s just hard to believe. It hasn’t quite sunk in yet. For the next few years, we’ll be getting a free Sunday brunch [at the retreat].”
Lottery fans can buy Powerball tickets online at theLotter to try their hand at scooping this Wednesday’s (November 23rd) top prize of $20 million.

Many lottery fans may have something else in common besides their love of lotto draws – a penchant for including the number seven in the sequences they choose to play in their favourite games.
Seven is known to be a lucky number in many cultures and it seems a great many lotto fans are superstitious enough to use this digit regularly – perhaps to boost their luck if they have a jackpot win in mind.
Dr John Haigh – an emeritus reader of mathematics and statistics at the University of Sussex and author of a book entitled Taking Chances: Winning with Probability – believes this prime number is a real favourite amongst lottery enthusiasts.
He revealed that Canadian lotteries – such as Canada Lotto 649 – publish the frequencies that individual digits are chosen.
The number seven was the most favoured, followed by 11, 3, 9, 5, 27, 31, 8 and 17.
Dr Haigh said low odd numbers are the most popular, while round numbers are relatively unpopular – perhaps because people do not see them as “sufficiently random”.
When it comes to lesser-chosen digits, the expert revealed 40 as being the least frequently picked lotto number, followed by 39, 48, 41, 20, 38 and 46.
Dr Haigh claims clusters of lottery numbers could be a better way of picking a sequence to play in a draw, because this is more random than spreading the digits out – which could reduce the likelihood of sharing a prize if they win with those numbers.

Lotto fans may find themselves scratching their heads for great lengths of time as they grapple with which numbers to pick when playing their favourite lottery draws – but do they know that lucky dips can save them from the anxiety of picking digits from addresses and birth dates?
Lucky dips are random number selectors that choose the numbers a lottery player will use in a particular draw for them.
Also known as a quick pick, lotto fans utilise computer programs to select a range of numbers to be played, so they are leaving the sequence they use entirely up to fate.
There are lots of random number generator sites available on the internet and some lottery enthusiasts may prefer them to using numbers they are familiar with.
Academic statistician and Winton professor of the public understanding of risk at Cambridge University David Spiegelhalter has suggested that using lucky dips can be a good choice for lotto players who want to vary their number selection.
“The real problem with always choosing the same number pattern is that it is difficult to ever stop, given the regret you would feel if that combination subsequently came up,” he explained.
There are a multitude of ways to select lottery numbers at random, so why not give it a go today and see if using a random number selector is better than picking anniversaries and postcodes?

Lottery players may already know what they would buy themselves if they landed $1 million playing their favourite draw, but one fan has put his family’s happiness before his own after striking lucky.
The lotto player from San Jose in the US has claimed he is going to use his enormous windfall to buy his mum a new house.
Speaking to NBC Bay Area, the man – who wishes only to be identified as Juan T – admitted he is an “avid” fan of playing his favourite draws and on the day he bought his ticket and checked the numbers, he knew immediately he was a winner.
The fortunate lotto enthusiast took home $1 million and admitted when it dawned on him that he had landed a life-changing sum of money, he went straight home to tell his mother the good news.
When asked about what his priority purchases will be, Juan T stated his mother’s new house is going to be one of the most important things he buys with the money.
However, he had not put his own dreams entirely on the backburner, admitting that he might treat himself to a new Corvette.
Newsreader Jamie Owen told BBC Wales Online recently that family should come first when it comes to allocating what to spend a lottery win on and said the first thing he would buy is a big lunch for his nearest and dearest so they could decide together how to splash the cash.

In this second edition in our new series of understanding lotto terms, we want to help lottery fans boost their game by understanding what it means to choose the multiplier option.
Many lotto fans may have spotted the Megaplier when they play USA Mega Millions - this is what is known in the lottery world as a multiplier.
It is simply a way of multiplying a non-jackpot lottery prize for an additional charge.
Non-jackpot prizes are multiplied by the Megaplier number – 2, 3 or 4 – which means lotto fans can get a lot more bang for their buck if their lucky numbers come through.
In the USA Mega Millions draw, the match 5 prize – which is always $250,000 – is always multiplies by Megaplier number 4, instantly making the ticketholder a millionaire.
USA Powerball works in a similar play with its own Power Play option, which boosts a player’s non-jackpot winnings by multiplying it with the Power Play ball and entitles match 5 prize-winners to a $1 million payout, just by ticking a box.
The USA Oregon Megabucks also has a multiplier entitled the Kicker, which entitles any non-jackpot prize won in the game to be multiplied by four.
There’s no time like the present for lottery enthusiasts to give these optional extras a go to boost their winnings, with the next USA Powerball and Oregon Megabucks draws taking place today (November 16th) and the next USA Mega Millions game scheduled for Friday (November 18th).

A lucky lotto fan has stated that he plans to split $1 million in lottery winnings with his family.
Kenny Perry, who is 42 and from Lake Villa in Illinois, said that he wants to give some of his newfound riches to his mother and siblings because they have stuck by him over the past few difficult years while he was battling cancer – which resulted in the lotto player losing his right arm.
He revealed that his mom will use the cash to buy a house and that her life will be much easier as a result of the windfall.
“I’d like to thank God first of all. Definitely got to thank the lottery. And my mom, being a mom, it’s been a rough life,” Mr Perry told ABC news.
Lotto fans who want to try their luck at winning a multi-million dollar jackpot can play USA Mega Millions tomorrow (October 18th) to be in with a chance of scooping a juicy $39 million prize.

Fans of Canadian lotteries such as Canada Lotto 649 may be interested to hear that one player did not realise he had his winning lotto ticket pinned to the fridge for the school summer holiday period.
Craig Henshaw, a teacher from Toronto, admitted that he bought his usual lottery ticket and then promptly forgot about it, leaving to go on a trip to Europe a few days later.
It was only when the new school term began that he realised he ought to check his slip, which was when he discovered he was the winner of Can$21 million.
“I had no idea I had Can$21 million sitting on my fridge at home. I wouldn’t have been living out of a backpack for two months if I’d known,” Mr Henshaw joked.
As for his winnings, the lottery enthusiast has said he will put some of it towards his nephews’ and nieces’ college education and promised that after a break he would carry on teaching.
Lottery fans can play Canada Lotto 649 on Saturday (October 15th) to be in with a chance of winning Can$ 12 million.

Lottery fans who pore over long lists of the numbers that have been coming up over the last however-many draws of their favourite lotto game such as Italian SuperEnalotto have been told to relax.
According to distinguished statistician and Winton professor of the public understanding of risk at Cambridge University David Spiegelhalter, although certain combinations have been highlighted as being luckier than others, by the law of mathematics, no lottery ball is more or less likely to be called than any other.
“This is checked regularly. Any suggestion that a number is ‘hot’ or ‘due’ is complete nonsense,” he remarked.
The expert acknowledged that 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 used to be the most common numbers to appear in lottery games, but he said statistically, any sequence goes.
Lotto fans keen to try their new relaxed attitude to number – picking can do so tomorrow (October 13th), to be in with a chance of winning €22.5 million playing Italian SuperEnalotto.

Fans of the comedy series The Office may find that the programme inspires online lotto players when it comes to their dreams of winning big on their favourite game.
In the eighth season of the US version of the popular show, the warehouse staff strike lucky and leave their jobs, while the characters who work upstairs are left fantasising about what they would do with a juicy lottery payout.
Funnyman Jim claims he would move Pam and their children to Maine, while his other half ruminates that she would prefer the New York district of SoHo because she would be able to have fancy coffee every morning.
Kelly, however, states she would stay in her role at Dunder Mifflin for a $1-a-day salary but would do no work and former warehouse worker Darryl is left devastated as he is not entitled to any of the winnings since he changed jobs.

Lottery fans who win big playing their favourite online lotto game have been recommended to take some time out after their luck comes in, because a huge windfall needs time and consideration.
Piya Khanna, executive coach and founder of Changetosucceed.com, claimed that it is best to book at least one week off work rather than hand in one’s notice immediately, because this time can be used to really think about what is important.
“It’s very telling that the first thing people think of when they come into a large sum of money is what can they buy,” she stated.
Rather than splashing the cash like the money is burning a hole in their pocket, Ms Khanna recommends a change of mindset and not wasting the money on frivolities that will only give temporary gratification, such as toys and cars.
Earlier this year, Europe’s wealthiest ever lottery winners Christine and Colin Weir of Scotland jetted to the Canary Islands in the wake of their lotto success, where they may have acclimatised to their €185 million EuroMillions prize.

Lotto fans keen for a chance of winning a EuroMillions jackpot may have dreams of splashing some of that lovely cash on a holiday or a flashy new car – but some may be more interested in using it to show off to the neighbours.
This is according to life and business coach Rasheed Ogunlaru of Rasaru.com, who claims that competitive people are likely to stay competitive even after landing a huge payout from the lottery and that this need for “keeping up with the Joneses” should be resolved in other ways besides spending.
“Very often we want that windfall, we want a lot of money and we assume it’s going to solve all of our financial problems,” he stated, suggesting that taking a step back and absolving any hang-ups is a healthy way to begin a new life as a multi-millionaire.
With this in mind, lotto fans may want to get in the game today (October 7th) and play EuroMillions.
Tuesday’s (October 5th) jackpot was a rollover so now the top prize is an incredible €119 million.

Cars are generally popular purchases for lottery fans who win big playing games such as Italian SuperEnalotto, but would a sleek new auto be your first big spend if you numbers were called?
Speaking to WalesOnline, local celebrities proved to be no different from ordinary lotto fans with many claiming a set of brand spanking new wheels would be on their shopping list after a top prize win.
Professional quiz player and star of BBC’s Eggheads CJ De Mooi revealed that a flash Aston Martin would be the first thing he would buy with such a payout.
Similarly, breakfast show presenter on The Wave DJ Badger revealed that he would procure a Rolls-Royce for his dad.
After the last Italian SuperEnalotto draw resulted in nobody taking home the jackpot, the top prize for the lottery has been ratcheted up to €19.2 million – but who knows, the enormous payout may get even bigger before it is claimed by a lucky lotto player.

California now has one more millionaire after a lottery player from Los Angeles scooped a whopping $56.5 million playing USA Mega Millions.
The lucky lotto fan won the jackpot on Saturday (October 1st) and will share his or her payout with another fortunate person from North Carolina who also matched all six numbers – splitting the $113 million prize in two.
Saturday’s (October 1st) draw was the first time since June that the USA Mega Millions first tier sum surpassed the $100 million mark.
So far the prize winner has not made themselves known to lottery officials, but lotto chiefs have reminded the lucky ticket holder to sign the back of their slip, put it in a safe place and get in touch as soon as possible.

Fans of Italian SuperEnalotto may not be able to contain their excitement at the fact the jackpot has rolled over yet again.
Known for its climbing prizes – thanks to having 90 balls in play for the draw – last night’s (September 20th) game saw nobody take home the top prize and as a result, this juicy payout has increased yet again to €65 million.
Lottery lovers may really enjoy getting involved when a rollover like this takes place, because it means much higher winnings if somebody chooses all their numbers correctly when compared with other lotto games.
However, as lotto fans may know, when rollovers like this take place, more people are likely to play.
Academic staff member of mathematics and statistics faculty at the University of Sussex John Haigh claims that the mathematically-assured way of improving one’s lottery chances is by limiting that probability of sharing the winnings.
“The only skill is in selecting combinations that fewer other players use, leading to higher prizes,” he stated in an article for Plus magazine.

Lotto fans looking for ways to encourage their luck to come around when playing for the dizzyingly generous jackpots frequently seen on Italian SuperEnalotto might want to consider entering the draw with friends.
Pooling the money they would have spent individually and buying more lines between a group could, according to some lottery enthusiasts, make a difference if players are experiencing a losing streak.
Entering a lottery draw on a regular basis with friends and family may help increase everybody’s chances of winning and the payouts can either be used to buy more tickets or can be split between the players.
Today’s Italian SuperEnalotto top prize is €64.3 million – which could be enough to prompt some lotto fans to get in the game together to up their chances of taking home that life-changing jackpot.
Just last week, a group of co-workers from South Carolina who play lotto together split a €250,000 prize between them.

One lucky lottery enthusiast has had a lot of good fortune over the years when playing her favourite games, but when asked what her secret to winning is, she claimed it’s down to good old fashioned faith.
Speaking to the Housatonic Times, Linda Westlake from New Milford in Connecticut claimed “Divine intervention” is the reason why she won $100,000 playing the lottery earlier this month (September) and $10,000 a couple of years ago in Arizona.
She says she usually buys two lottery tickets every week and her run of good fortune has resulted in her colleagues giving her the playful nickname Lucky Linda.
Ms Westlake told the newspaper: “I really believe it’s Divine intervention.”
And when asked whether she’s going to carry on buying lottery tickets, the lotto fan said she and her husband would keep on playing.
Another lottery winner said recently that – rather than Divine intervention – patience is what pays off when playing lotto.
North Carolinian Sandra Ham scooped $1 million after picking the same lottery numbers she had been using for years.

Itchy palms can be a very good sign for Italian SuperEnalotto fans, because according to superstition, that pesky tickle can mean big bucks are on their way.
The famous game rolled over again on Saturday (August 27th), with no lottery enthusiasts winning either the jackpot or the runner-up prize.
So, a bit of superstition might be just the ticket to break this rollover pattern, but, lotto players may need to think carefully about which of their hands is itching because only a tingle on the right palm means a payout is due for that person.
In the case of a left hand tickling, it means they may well need to cough up some cash, but according to old wives’ tales, this can be remedied by rubbing the hand with a piece of wood.
So, if you find yourself absent-mindedly scratching your right palm today, then it might be a good idea to get in the game and play Italian SuperEnalotto.
The next draw is tonight (August 30th) and the jackpot has climbed to €56.6 million, so what are you waiting for?

Some lotto fans have a tough time picking their lottery numbers for Italian SuperEnalotto, after all, with 90 balls in play there are a lot to choose from.

Lottery fans all over the world dream of taking home that elusive top prize – but what if lightning strikes twice and you have to share your millions with another Italian SuperEnalotto fan?
Winning a lottery jackpot is one thing but seeing it cut in half is another and one way lotto enthusiasts can avoid this from happening is by not using mathematical patterns to pick numbers.
No matter how you pick your lotto numbers, the odds are that any one of those 90 Italian SuperEnalotto balls could be pulled out and so to ensure that top prize is all yours, you need to choose your numbers in a way that nobody else will.
A common method of selecting numbers is by making number patterns or choosing prime numbers or multiples. Avoid this because it is so popular that if you did win the top prize, it is more likely you will have to split it with a like-minded lottery fan.
The next Italian SuperEnalotto draw is tonight and you could take home every cent of that €50.5 million jackpot if you pick your numbers wisely.

A lotto fan from the UK has claimed £2.4 million in lottery winnings thanks to his lucky sequence of birthday numbers.
According to the Sentinel, Ged Blairs scooped the top prize thanks to the series of digits he has been faithful to for the past 17 years.
The lottery enthusiast selected his winning combination of numbers back when the UK lottery started in 1994 according to his birthday, his sister’s birthday and his lucky number 33.
But Mr Blairs’s newfound riches will not be making a local celebrity of the former JCB worker.
He said: “I’m an ordinary working class guy, a miner’s son and I can’t see me being any different now I’ve got this money.”
Last week Investing Answers debunked the myth that random numbers are more likely to result in a lotto win.
The website stated that the odds are the same no matter what combination of numbers is picked, whether it’s a series of favourite dates or a sequence chosen by a machine.

One lottery fan has done away with number crunching and visiting psychics and has revealed that when it comes to selecting her lotto numbers, she leaves her fate in the paws of her pooch.
Writing for the Student Operated Press, Donna Cavanagh has revealed that when it comes to trying ways to boost her fortune and bring home a big lotto win, she has been there, done that and got the T-shirt.
She claimed her husband, a computer engineer, once compiled a spreadsheet of the most commonly-drawn numbers for her favourite lottery games.
“It was quite the document – and I understood none of it,” Ms Cavanagh admitted.
It seems the lotto fan is perfectly happy with her current system of letting the dog pick what numbers she uses by putting a sheet of numbers on the floor and watching which ones he touches with his paws.
Nevertheless, the method of choosing numbers that are more commonly called is one that is well-known among lotto fans.
Recently, lottery enthusiast Vince Doug Low, writing for Ezine Articles claimed this is the best way to make one’s own luck!

Playing the Italian SuperEnalotto after a big rollover win may increase a lottery fan’s chances of winning, as one enthusiast has claimed persevering on quiet nights can pay dividends.
Writing for Gulf News, lotto lover Kevin Martin said that although the first game after a massive win is less exciting due to the jackpot being smaller, it means fewer people will be playing.
He explained that the odds are greater on rollover nights because “every Australian and his dog would be buying multiple tickets”, while more modest top lottery prizes would mean a person’s chance with their favourite numbers is marginally greater.
The next Italian SuperEnalotto draw is today (July 7th) and lottery fans may want to hedge their bets with their chance to take home the €39 million jackpot by playing at theLotter.
A top payout of this size could open up a world of possibilities for lotto lovers, as such a juicy win is enough to buy a top European footballer such as Fabio Coentrao, with money left over to spare!

When it comes to choosing lottery numbers, it could pay to play the same select few time and time again, a practice that certainly yielded results for one US-based gamer.
The car salesman from Woodbridge, Virginia – the name of whom has not been released by lottery officials – gambled on the same winning numbers ten times on the Virginia Lottery Cash 5 game, claiming $1 million in all, Inside Nova reports.
Shawn Shah, owner of the store where the lucky man bought his tickets, said it was amazing, adding that the winner – who worked at Lustine Chrysler Jeep Dodge – has now quit his job.
So while some may believe it’s better to mix those numbers up, it certainly seems to be the case that sticking to a choice few could help you win the big bucks.
Whichever process works for you, it could be an idea to follow maths professor Marcus du Sautoy’s recommendation to opt for consecutive numbers, which people tend not to do when playing the lottery.
Writing for The One Show website, he noted that lottery balls often come out in pairs.
However you choose your numbers, head to TheLotter to play a few lottery games.

Keen lottery players might want to snatch up a few tickets for the next New Zealand (NZ) Lotto Powerball draw, as the jackpot is NZ$5 million.
That’s because Saturday night’s (April 16th’s) game failed to see anyone walk off with the big money, so next week someone is in with a chance of taking home the gold.
Chief executive of NZ Lotteries Todd McLeay noted that last week – when the jackpot was NZ$34 million – was an “amazing week” for the company, with a total of 3.4 million tickets bought.
“It was our biggest week ever for Lotto Powerball,” he remarked.
Although the pot of gold wasn’t picked up, three First Division prizes were won on Saturday night, worth NZ$333,333, so there were no doubt some very happy players out there indeed.
A total of seven people won NZ$38,344 on the Second Division lottery prizes as well, with ticket holders advised to write their name on the back of the stub for security purposes.

Lottery players could find their chances of winning big are improved by following some tips recently provided by one maths expert.
Writing for the BBC’s The One Show website, Marcus du Sautoy, professor of maths at the University of Oxford, explained some aspects of his favourite subject might prove helpful for people when they come to choose their numbers.
He said: “A bit of maths can help you to maximise your winnings in case you do hit the jackpot”, adding: “The key is to choose numbers that no one else is likely to choose.”
Players can improve their chances of doing so by clumping their numbers together, as people rarely opt for consecutive digits. Professor du Sautoy noted that lottery balls do often come out in pairs.
He added that because numbers below 31 are popular as they are chosen to represent lucky dates, doing the opposite could improve people’s chances of taking home more money if they are lucky enough to win.
According to Lottery.co.uk, another suggested hint that may help those playing the lottery is to buy more than one ticket, as this will at least double your chances of hitting the big time.

Playing lotteries online has become a global phenomenon since the mid-90′s, with staggering statistics, regarding both its players and its winners. It’s very exciting – a person in the USA winning the Australian Powerball at the same time that someone in Sweden is playing Italy’s ‘superEnalotto’. It’s as if players have the world at their finger-tips, literally.
The trend of playing “international” lotteries has become more and more popular, and we can certainly understand why. The question still remains, which is more exciting – chasing big prizes from across the world? Or, picking numbers / buying tickets / receiving the results via SMS & e-mail AND collecting winnings and jackpots – all without leaving the house. Actually, you could do this ALL without leaving the chair. Playing lotteries online at theLotter.com is all about comfort, simplicity, security and potential.
Buying lottery tickets online is easy. There is no need to download any software, and membership is 100% free. Users turn on their computer, visit theLotter.com to set up an account, and are instantly ready to play lotteries from all over the world. Players are also given the option to choose a short registration process and return later to personalize their account with all of the features and benefits offered.
For those people that typically pick the same set of numbers each time they play, doing it online allows them to purchase their own set of lucky numbers days – even weeks – in advance. The top reason why people miss out on their chance of winning millions is because they didn’t buy a ticket, whether they forgot or didn’t have the time. Buying online guarantees a person a lottery ticket, which is also like buying a chance to become rich.
After 10 years now, theLotter.com has earned the reputation of being one of the safest online lottery sites, guaranteeing our players the privacy and security they deserve. Our unique ‘See Your Ticket’ service enables our players to see an actual scanned copy of their ticket, purchased on their behalf from an official retailer of the specific lottery. This service provides additional verification that the purchase has been made, numbers are correct and, not to mention, it beats holding onto the paper ticket and washing it with your laundry by accident.
While this post could continue on for hours, days, weeks and years, ranting and raving about the benefits of playing your favorite lottery on our website, we are going to end it here. But, one more thing… We also have information on past winnings, detailed information on lotteries from 55 countries, 24-Hour customer service, do not take a percentage of your winnings, automatic alerts to players when certain lotteries reach a certain dollar amount and, well, you get the point.
Good Luck!

There’s no magic formula to choose winning lottery numbers, but if you’re one of us who love to play lottery and buy all your lotto tickets online then you’ve probably tried a few different systems. What I recommend is to play often and try a number of different number selection systems before settling on one and sticking to it. This may be either choosing a fixed set of numbers and playing them every week or using a random number selector and playing different numbers each week.
