Tonight may well be the night for one USA Florida Lotto player if their lucky numbers come through when the balls are drawn this evening (December 21st).
The game has been rolling over for not just weeks, but months, as the last jackpot – which was worth $4 million – was landed on September 14th.
Since then, 27 draws have taken place, with that top prize ratcheting up just a little more after each game that resulted in nobody taking home the jackpot.
This has led to tonight’s amazing reward which has reached the $49 million mark – a payout that could make for a very happy holiday if somebody’s lottery ticket matches all six numbers.
If the jackpot rolls over again, for a 28th time, this evening then there is still time for players to grab that enormous cash prize before Christmas Day, because USA Florida Lotto has draws on Saturdays as well as Wednesdays, which could mean some fortunate fan becomes a multi-millionaire in time for December 25th and the new year.
Lottery lovers who are excited about the chances of bringing home $49 million to their loved ones this festive season can play online at theLotter – after all, this rollover trend has got to end sooner or later.

This week two of the USA’s most famous state lotteries – USA Florida Lotto and USA New York Lotto – are rolling over their jackpots, making for exciting draws for both games on December 14th.
Lottery fans have two days to enter these lottos to be in with a chance of scooping their inviting top prizes in time for Christmas.
After the USA New York Lotto game on Saturday (December 10th) resulted in no winners, the jackpot has increased to $12.5 million.
And perhaps even more excitingly, Saturday’s USA Florida Lottery also saw no lottery ticket holders match the six winning numbers, leading to the top prize ballooning to $45 million.
Fans of the USA Florida Lotto have witnessed the jackpots inflate week after week for a long time now, as the game has seen its jackpots rollover after every draw since September 14th.
So, the winner of Wednesday’s $45 million jackpot is a long time coming – but what better time to land a massive windfall than at Christmas?
Lottery enthusiasts who like to play USA Florida Lotto and USA New York Lotto can do so at theLotter, where they can also check results and estimated payouts for secondary prizes in the event their luck comes in.

The USA Florida Lottery has had a lot to celebrate this year, with the game turning 25 on November 4th of this month, marking a quarter-of-a-century of exciting rollovers, supporting good causes and generating great prizes which have thrilled fans from all over the world.
On November 4th 1986, 64 per cent of voters made their mark on the state’s constitution, enabling it to run a state-managed lottery, with the first tickets for the game being sold two years later for its first draw on May 7th 1988.
So far there have been a total of 321,422,975 total winners, with 965 of these being made millionaires by the lotto.
Furthermore, the game has earned a whopping $7 billion for state education.
The good work of the USA Florida Lottery may be well known to those lucky enough to live in the Sunshine State, but not to lotto enthusiasts from further afield.
Its sole beneficiary is the Education Enhancement Trust Fund, which supports programmes at state college and university levels.
Chief executive officer of Florida TaxWatch Dominic Calabro told Florida Trend: “I think it’s fair to say without the lottery contribution to education, our public education would be far more troubled. With all its perceptions and challenges, it’s been a net contributor to Florida.”

Gamers keen to see some of their money go to good causes will no doubt be pleased to hear that the Florida Lottery has been making monthly transfers to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
In fact, its contributions to date total $22 billion, with $1.247 billion provided to the organisation in the financial year 2009 to 2010.
Voters in Florida approved a piece of legislation back in 1986 allowing the state to set up a lottery with the aim of generating additional cash for education.
Since then, funding has been provided to scholastic programmes in the state’s 67 school districts, with Cynthia O’Connell of the Florida Lottery saying: “The Lottery will continue to focus on maximising revenues for education while providing quality entertainment to our players.”
The Bright Futures Scholarship Program has also benefited, set up in 1997 to help students pursue higher education and attain their career goals. Since it was established, the lottery has provided over $3.2 billion in funding, sending over 500,000 people to college.

Yet another millionaire has been made thanks to the Florida Lottery, after a 30-year-old from Hollywood hit the big time by buying a Mega Money Quick Pick ticket.
Moniqueca Neufeld walked off with a cool $1 million and opted for the lump-sum payment – after tax, she banked $705,267.50.
However, she wasn’t the only one to profit from this turn of fortune. The retailer – Foodtown in Davie, Florida – has received a $1,000 bonus incentive, just for selling the winning ticket.
What’s more, the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund also benefited from the draw – total ticket sales for that day’s jackpot generated over $1 million for the organisation.
Just three days earlier, Patricia Wright of Bradenton scored big on the Floriday Mega Money lottery as well, lining her pockets with $600,000.
She too chose the one-time lump-sum payment option and in the end went home with lottery winnings of $426,816.20. Congratulations goes to all!

Due to legal restrictions, we never offer sugestions or recommendations for specific lottery games to play. What we can do is to let our readers know the latest and biggest news from each of the dozens of international lottery games that can be played from theLotter Online Lottery website.
One of the lottery games we discuss the most is the Florida State Lottery, not just because its the sunshine state, but mainly because of the number of lottery jackpot winners it seems to create. Here is another story from a few years ago when Linda McLaughlin won $600,000,000 (yes count the zero’s !)
Linda McLaughlin, 50, of Jacksonville, won the $1 million top prize in the $600 MILLION HIGH ROLLER Scratch-Off game. McLaughlin, who arrived at Lottery headquarters wearing her Publix uniform, received a lump-sum for her winning in the amount of $708,794.50. McLaughlin purchased her winning ticket at Publix located at 7749 Normandy Boulevard in Jacksonville. McLaughlin said that after completing her shift at the Publix deli, she decided to purchase a $600 MILLION HIGH ROLLER Scratch-Off ticket.
She scratched the ticket while still on the premises, only to discover the ticket was not a winner. “Something told me to go buy one more of those $600 MILLION HIGH ROLLER Scratch-Off tickets and sure enough it was a $1 million winner,” McLaughlin said. When asked if she planned on returning to the store where she works, and purchased the ticket, McLaughlin said she was unsure. “I think, for now, my boss is just happy to be the retailer who sold the winning ticket because Publix has a $20,000 bonus check coming their way,” said McLaughlin.

This is both a heart warming and sad story of a lottery winner from the Florida State Lotto
On September 3, 1988, Sheelah Ryan of Winter Springs made Florida Lottery history when she won the then largest Lottery prize ever awarded to an individual player. Ryan the 10th FLORIDA LOTTO™ winner won $55.16 million when she chose the numbers, 3, 5, 19, 20, 27 and 35.
With her Lottery winnings, Ryan developed the Sheelah Ryan Foundation Inc., a charity that helps many people in Seminole County – senior citizens, abused spouses, and women and children struggling to survive. The foundation also provides scholarships to students in Seminole County schools.
In 1994, at age 69, Ryan lost her fight with cancer. However, through the efforts of her family members, close friends and funds provided by her Lottery winnings, Ryan’s philanthropic vision lives on.

The Florida Lottery is one of the biggest lotteries in the great United States of America. I may be a little biased since of all the lotteries I play each week (currently stands at 10 USA Lotteries, the UK National Lottery and the French Loto) this is the one that i’ve won the most often.
The Florida lottery offers a range of game types and subsequent payouts, each week I invest around $20 and on average (yes I have a spreadsheet to do the maths for me) I have won $55 per week over the last 6 months…

over the years that we’ve been offering our online lottery ticket buying service, people have probably been most interested in the Florida State Lottery Online so we thought (well my boss did) that this would be an ideal forum to post some quick information about what the Florida Lottery is all about:
The first game offered by the Flordia Lottery was called Millionaire, a one dollar scratch card game with a jackpot prize of $1 Million. Then in April 1988 the first number-drawing games were held, Cash 3 and Lotto, with Lotto a 6 number game with a multi-million USD jackpot.
Lotto is a twice weekly lottery game, with drawings taking place on a Wendnesday and Saturday, during a live broadcast at 11pm EST, 6 balls are drawn from a number range 1 to 53. The minimum estimated jackpot is $3 million and rollsover until someone wins!
