Record-smashing EuroMillions winners ‘top Trivial Pursuit poll’ – December 14th 2011

As if landing a €185 million EuroMillions fortune was not reward enough for Christine and Colin Weir of Largs in Scotland, the record-smashing lottery winners have been recognised by the famous board game Trivial Pursuit for their good fortune.

According to For Argyll, the now obscenely wealthy couple have been voted the Biggest Winners of 2011 by avid fans of the game who were asked to list the highlights of this year.

The results of the poll are expected to feature in future editions of Trivial Pursuit, but it is unlikely Christine and Colin Weir are going to be forgotten by lottery players any time soon, especially as the media has been following their every move since going public in July.

In the survey, the winners came out on top, while the England Ashes-winning cricket team and Pippa Middleton – Kate Middleton’s little sister – came in second and third.

This year has been a very exciting one for EuroMillions fans, but 2011 is not over yet and there are still five more draws in total until the New Year.

Lotto players may want to buy their lottery tickets online, with Friday’s (December 16th) jackpot estimated to be €46 million.
