Winning New Zealand lottery ticket sold in Blenheim – October 11th 2011

  by: admin - Category:

Lottery fans who love to play games from the southern hemisphere such as New Zealand Powerball may be interested to hear that a winning ticket was bought in Blenheim last week, entitling a lucky lotto lover to a fistful of cash.

According to the Marlborough Press, the second-tier prize was won by a total of 16 players, which means the unclaimed ticket holder is now NZD 17,220 richer.

Winning lotto slips were sold across the country and NZ Lotteries’ chief executive Todd McLeay has urged all lottery fans to check their tickets and write their name on the back of it if they think they are entitled to a payout.

Indeed, he added that one winner from Rotorua more than tripled their winnings after selecting the Powerball number, increasing their prize to NZD 59,015.

The next New Zealand Powerball draw will take place on Saturday October 15th and lotto fans could be in with a chance of scooping a juicy NZD 10 million jackpot if their numbers are drawn.
