Hugh Jackman buys lottery tickets for his film crew – October 13th 2011

Lottery fans may know him as Hollywood’s Mr Nice and this week Hugh Jackman has certainly proved that under his A-list hero exterior he’s a truly generous and fun-loving guy.

Speaking at the press conference for his new film Real Steel in London’s exclusive Claridges Hotel, the Australia and X-Men star revealed he likes to buy the crew on his films lotto tickets.

He claimed his routine of getting a wad of 500 slips for his team first began when he was filming in the US and felt embarrassed that after two months he did not know anybody’s name.

“I thought that on a Friday afternoon I’ll whip by and buy lottery tickets for everyone and hand them out saying it’s an Australian tradition – but it’s not,” Jackman explained.

And it seems the lottery is something Mr Jackman may be a fan of, as he revealed in a recent interview with the Daily Telegraph that if he won the lotto he would not stop acting.
