Horse trainer Peter Moody ‘dreams of Oz Lotto success’ – October 11th 2011

Despite being one of Australia’s most famous and successful horse trainers, Peter Moody is just like the rest of us and dreams of winning big playing his favourite lottery game – Oz Lotto.

Speaking to the Australian, the expert responsible for keeping the world’s greatest racehorse – the unbeaten Black Caviar – claimed he would say goodbye to his 3am starts if he won big and escape to a beach in north Queensland where he would eat prawns and drink beer.

“I’d like to win the lotto, buy a five per cent share in a racehorse and drive the trainer mad by ringing up every night to see how it’s going,” he joked.

Mr Moody said that these dreams are due to the fact his job means he sees very little of his family, but he admits that training horses is what he loves doing.

This confession may be a clue as to why he would not say goodbye to his beloved horses entirely should his lottery wish be granted.

The next Oz Lotto draw will take place on October 18th.

Last week, one lucky lottery fan went home with the coveted AUD 5 million prize.
