Following the news that Dave and Angela Dawes have become the UK’s third-richest lottery winners scooping €115 million playing EuroMillions last week, one journalist has commented that the love birds are lucky to have so many friends they want to share their fortune with.

According to the Daily Mail’s Jan Moir, the pair are drawing up a list of a dozen-or-so people that they will make millionaires, with those who qualify for this incredible cash gift having supported the pair in recent years.

“They are, indeed, a lucky couple, in more ways than one. There cannot be many of us who have 20 friends who have helped us throughout our lives,” she remarked.

Ms Moir added that the pair is now the envy of the entire nation and whatever they decide to do with their newfound lotto riches, they will be doing it in style “with a cherry on top”.

The newspaper reported earlier this week that Ms Dawes is planning to buy fast cars and luxury mansions, while her other half is intending to purchase a new engagement ring for his betrothed.
