Retired salesman wins $250,000 playing USA Mega Millions – August 22nd 2011

A retired salesman from the Washington town of Auburn in the US has scooped a juicy $250,000 payout playing USA Mega Millions.

According to the Auburn Reporter, 70-year-old Don Treuter collected his life-changing prize last week.

It seems Auburn is one lucky place to be a lotto fan, as a $6.4 million jackpot-winning lotto ticket was sold in the town just last month, while lottery players in the state have also been lucky playing USA Mega Millions and USA Powerball lately too.

Mr Treuter said that he is looking to pay off some bills with his windfall and place the rest in the bank.

Pal Rob Gerson stated: “We are really excited for Don. He’s a really nice guy. It’s great someone won that we see every day.”

Earlier this month, lottery fan Brain McCarthy from Virginia won $107 million playing USA Mega Millions – this third biggest winner the state has ever seen.
