EuroMillions winners claim they’ll stay close to hometown – August 5th 2011

Christine and Colin Weir may be among the UK’s financial elite thanks to their record-breaking €185 million lottery win playing EuroMillions last month, but the couple have announced they do not plan on straying from their beloved hometown.

The couple said they would be moving home with their newfound riches, but not too far away from the Scottish port of Largs, where they are still residing as they get used to the idea of being multi-millionaires.

And the pair have also made it known that they are not going to be lavishing the entirety of their wealth on themselves and said their two children – who are both in their twenties – were high on the list when it comes to supporting others.

The told the Daily Record: “We want to think about how we can do some good with it, not just for the here and now, but for future generations.”
