USA Powerball jackpot rolls over to $36 million – July 7th 2011

Nobody took home the top prize last night (July 6th) when the USA Powerball numbers were drawn, which means the next game’s jackpot is being ratcheted up to the princely sum of $36 million.

The balls called were 11, 15, 24, 50 and 55, with a bonus ball of 8.

And while nobody triumphed with the biggest payout, there were still 504,364 winners in total, splitting prizes totalling $4.4 million between them.

Some may have taken home healthier lottery rewards than others, with lotto fans in Florida, Missouri and Wisconsin landing five matching numbers for $200,000 apiece.

And residents of the Sunshine State appeared to have lady luck on their side, as two fortunate Floridians also scored four correct numbers, entitling them to $10,000 each.

An Idaho military man also struck lucky with the USA Powerball recently.

John Malota won $200,000 thanks to picking five winning numbers when he bought his lotto ticket for the June 29th draw.
