USA Mega Millions jackpot winners have claimed they are keeping their feet firmly on the ground despite splitting a $319 million lottery prize between them.

According to the New York Post, the so-called Albany Seven won the top payout in March of this year but have not rushed into making extravagant purchases with their newfound riches.

The lucky lottery players have quit their IT jobs with the state Homes and Community Renewal agency, but they seem content with living otherwise ordinary lives despite each of them being $19 million richer.

Winner Tracy Sussman claimed she was going to spend some of the money on a new stove, but instead used it to hire a repair man.

In addition, lucky lotto player Gabrielle Mahar said she and her boyfriend were enjoying a life of leisure and were thinking about buying a dishwasher.

Last month, a couple from Anne Arundel in Maryland won $250,000 on the USA Mega Millions and claimed they would use their winnings to pay for a holiday to Alaska.
