North Carolina man takes home $1 million USA Powerball win – July 12th 2011

  by: admin - Category:

There’s a new millionaire in North Carolina this week, after one lucky lottery lover took home a $1 million prize after winning big on the USA Powerball.

According to WBTV Kannapolis, former musician Mike Ellison found out that his numbers matched all five of the white balls drawn on Saturday (July 9th).

He said he was “ecstatic” about the prize and revealed that he thought he was dreaming when he checked his ticket.

Mr Ellison revealed that he will use his winnings to retire, take care of his family and buy a house.

And looking after loved ones seems to be something many people factor into their dreams of taking home a juicy lotto payout, as the Daily World reported USA Powerball winner Julie Fontenot would be spending her $200,000 prize on her grandchildren.

Lotto fans can play USA Powerball no matter where in the world they are on theLotter if they fancy a chance of winning the $48 million jackpot when the next draw is called tomorrow (July 13th).
