Highlander EuroMillions winner ‘claims prize after a month’ – July 19th 2011

A mystery lotto fan from the Scottish Highlands has come forward to collect his or her EuroMillions prize a month after the draw.

The anonymous winner scooped an enormous €322,000 after the June 7th game but had not made themselves known to the lottery company before now.

It is unknown whether or not it was a case of a lost ticket being found, or indeed if the news was such a shock it has only taken them this long to pull it together to claim the life-changing sum of money.

A lottery spokesman said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.”

This news follows the momentous revelation that Christine and Colin Weir from the Ayrshire town of Largs won the record jackpot prize in last week’s EuroMillions draw.

After collecting their €185 in riches, the couple decided to go public as the newest members of the Sunday Times Rich List.
