Winning lottery ticket about to expire – June 14th 2011

  by: admin - Category:

Gamers have until June 19th to claim a winning Powerball ticket for their own, as the 180-day period within which to come forward is now drawing to a close.

The white balls that dropped during the December 21st lottery game for which the ticket was purchased were 8, 11, 12, 31 and 32, so people might want to check their stubs to see if they’ve got the golden ticket.

Chip Polston, Kentucky Lottery vice-president of communications, said the stub must be taken to the Louisville headquarters in order to be cashed, although since the offices will be closed on the 19th for the weekend, the winner can scan their ticket at retailers before midnight and the claim will still be paid.

By playing the lottery online at theLotter, gamers don’t ever need to worry that they won’t be able to claim their winnings before the deadline is up, since an instant notification of any success is sent out, with the cash directly transferred to bank accounts.
