Virginia man hits the USA Mega Millions jackpot – July 3rd 2011

A man from Williamsburg, VA has walked away with a cool $250,000 after matching the first five digits in the USA Mega Millions draw on May 20th.

Robert Osman told Virginia Lottery officials he had been on his way to his local gym for a bit of a workout but decided to buy some lotto tickets en route.

He chose his numbers using Easy Pick and went on to be a prize winner after matching the 10, 17, 19, 45 and 48.

“I checked the numbers on the internet again and again and again,” the lucky lottery winner remarked.

His good news follows that of Colin Mackenzie of Dumfries in Canada, who won $100,000 on the Cash 5 lottery draw, matching the same five digits on ten individual tickets.
