USA Powerball winner uses birth dates for lottery numbers – June 23rd 2011

Using family birthdays has helped one person from Kansas hit the big time on the USA Powerball, securing him a $200,000 win.

The winner – who has elected to remain anonymous – told Kansas Lottery officials he has been using the same numbers for 18 years.

“When I looked in the paper this morning and saw those numbers, I couldn’t believe it,” the player – who is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments for cancer – remarked.

“I have a lot of medical expenses, so this money will help out tremendously,” the gamer went on to say, adding however that when their strength has returned, a holiday will be on the cards as well.

The numbers for the June 18^th draw were 12, 21, 22, 38 and 41, with the Powerball of 18.

Similarly, another anonymous winner from Burden in Kansas took home the $200,000 Powerball jackpot after playing the June 15^th game.
