Next EuroMillions winner could become richer than Rod Stewart – June 27th 2011

If one British lottery fan wins the jackpot in tomorrow’s (June 28th’s) EuroMillions draw, they could take home a life-changing amount of cash, making them richer than a world-famous rock star.

According to the Daily Star, the next big prize of €132 million would make the winner wealthier than 66-year-old Scottish pop legend Rod Stewart, who is said to be worth €129 million.

This week’s draw – if won by a single ticket-holder – would beat the previous largest payout of €127 million, which one anonymous lottery player took home last year after picking the five winning numbers and bonus balls for the game.

And one lucky EuroMillions fan from the Highlands was being urged to come forward last week, as the John O’Groat Journal and Caithness Courier reported that a £289,920.50 lottery win was waiting to be collected after five main numbers and one bonus ball were chosen by a local player.
