Lucky Highlands EuroMillions winner yet to claim prize – June 22nd 2011

An unknown UK EuroMillions player based in the Scottish Highlands is yet to pick up their life-changing winnings after their ticket matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star in the lottery draw on June 7th.

According to the John O’Groat Journal and Caithness Courier, the princely sum of £289,920.50 is waiting to be collected and lottery officials have urged anybody who played the game that day to check the pockets of their clothing, bags, wallets and homes.

Camelot announced that the prize had gone unclaimed yesterday (June 21st) and a spokesperson was quoted by the newspaper as saying: “We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.”

The EuroMillions numbers for the game were 6, 25, 36, 38 and 40 and the Lucky Stars were 4 and 10.

And a EuroMillions winner from Stockport has also been urged to collect their winnings for the same draw, with the Manchester Evening News reporting that the unknown player is £1 million richer.
