$30 million win on Australian Powerball – June 28th 2011

A woman from Queensland will no doubt be celebrating this week after winning the big bucks on the Australian Powerball game.

The lotto player – who has elected to remain anonymous – was the only division one winner in the country for the draw, taking $30 million all the way to the bank.

She now plans to help out her friends and relatives and give some of her lottery cash away to wildlife and environmental trusts.

“I intend to use the money to make a real difference in my life and the lives of others,” she remarked, adding that when she saw her numbers match up she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her.

The woman went on to say: “I’ll never have to work again.”

To play the Australian Powerball, all you have to do is pick five numbers out of 45 balls and one Powerball, selected from a set of 45 balls in a second drawing machine.
