Winner plans to go to law school – May 31st 2011

A lottery winner who lined his pockets with $1 million in the USA Mega Millions January 4th draw has said he plans to put himself through law school with the cash, after he invests in a new car.

Justin Emerson decided to have a go at playing the lotto because the jackpot was a hefty $355 million – and his decision certainly paid off.

“Winning this prize has really been surreal,” he remarked.

Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery Commission, made further comments, stating that Mr Emerson hit the big time after selecting the Megaplier option, which meant his $250,000 windfall was bumped up to $1 million.

The numbers that dropped on January 4th were 4, 8, 15, 25 and 47, with the Mega Ball of 42.

And last month, Salvador Salazar Jr headed to Austin to pick up his Lotto Texas prize pot of $15 million after his digits came in on the April 20th game.

If you won the USA Mega Millions, what would you spend your money on?
