Anyone whose life plan includes winning big on the lottery should perhaps try to influence their dreams, as it has been suggested that certain images appearing in the subconscious at this time can in fact be lucky.

According to the Korea Lottery Commission – which conducted a study to discover the most fortunate people in the country – dreaming of dragons, ancestors or pigs is fortuitous, the Korea Herald reports.

The organisation found that 39 per cent of the 147 participating lottery winners had dreamt of ancestors, while 12 per cent had lucky animals appear before them and eight per cent saw certain numbers.

However, if you dream of a dog, don’t expect to have a windfall, as pooches are apparently unlucky.

Players not willing to rely on their night-time adventures for a big win might want to consider steering clear of numbers that are multiples of seven.

According to John Haigh, writing for Plus Maths, these tend to be the more popular choices, so you could end up sharing your lottery jackpot.
