$266 million lottery winner goes on Oprah – May 25th 2011

A lottery-winning couple’s dream has come true – not only did they hit the big time with a $266 million US Mega Millions jackpot, but they were invited to chat about their windfall on Oprah.

Jacki and Gilbert Cisneros from Pico Rivera in California went on the chat show to discuss their win with the famous host, the OC Register reports.

Ms Cisneros – an apparent Oprah obsessive who had always wanted to get a ticket for the show – even said she thought it was a bigger deal to sit on that stage with Oprah herself than actually winning all that lottery cash.

“We got to be on Oprah,” she remarked. “That’s huge.”

“It was a great experience, everything about it. I loved it. I wish I could go back for one more show,” Ms Cisneros went on to say.

The couple themselves have proved to be generous with their lottery cash as well – earlier this month, it emerged that they had donated $1.25 million to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund to help 50 students make their way through high school.
