$250,000 Mega Millions wins waiting to be claimed – May 4th 2011

Two Mega Millions winners who both scooped $250,000 now have 12 months to collect their prizes following the draw on April 29^th.

All five white balls – 9, 10, 11, 33 and 51 – were correctly matched on both tickets, although the players didn’t select the yellow Mega Ball of 29.

Each lucky winner is now being encouraged by Pennsylvania Lottery to sign the backs of their tickets and file their claims at the company’s headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County.

On April 27^th, Pennsylvania Lottery reminded players that two tickets – one worth $200,000 from the May 12^th 2010 draw and another worth $50,000 from the May 11^th game – are about to expire.

Interim executive director Drew Svitko said: “One of our players could have a big winning ticket sitting on a desk, stashed in a closet or tucked into a coat pocket and not even know it.”
