Estimated $40 million jackpot for next Mega Millions draw – April 28th 2011

A jackpot prize of around $40 million will be up for grabs at the next Mega Millions drawing this Friday (April 29^th).

That’s because no players were lucky enough to pick all six winning jackpot numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing for the estimated $29 million prize money.

The winning numbers were 19, 29, 32, 38 and 55, while the Mega Ball was 15. Players have to correctly pick all five winning numbers plus the Mega Ball to win the jackpot.

However, there were three winners for the second prize level who picked up $250,000 each.

A total of 23 Match 4 + Mega winning tickets worth $10,000 each were also sold, lottery officials said. In addition, 484,221 smaller prizes ranging from $2 to $150 were won, the Examiner reports.

New York was also home to some big winners last month. A Mega Millions jackpot of $319 million was shared between seven colleagues from the state’s division of housing and community renewal.
