$7M Lotto Jackpot sold in Lake City

  by: Edward Webber - Category:

A lucky Lake City, Florida resident won a handsome $7 million jackpot earlier this month, striking gold with the following set of numbers: 20-24-29-30-36-53. However, this hefty sum remains unclaimed, and the mystery winner remains at large.

Florida Lottery officials have declared that the $7 million winning ticket in the October 6, 2010 Florida Lotto with Xtra game was sold at the Shop N Go Store, located at 4387 SW State Road 47 in Columbia County, Florida. Hitesh Patel, the proud Shop N Go Store owner, is extremely pleased that the anonymous ticket holder purchased the winning ticket at his establishment.

Hitesh received a $25,000 bonus commission for selling the ticket at his store. “I’m really very happy that somebody won from my store. It’s the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me, and that’s a good thing!” said Patel “This is the biggest winning ticket I have ever seen in my life so far, and it’s a very happy occasion for me.” Patel is optimistic and believes that in addition to the cash bonus he received, the sale of the winning ticket will boost business at his store.

Although the ticket remains unclaimed, Patel said a woman came into the Shop N Go Store stating that she had the winning ticket. Her claim was slightly diminished, however, by her ensuing purchase of another lottery ticket.

Florida Lotto winners have multiple payout options to choose from, either in a one-time cash payment, or 30 annual payments.
