The Power Ball of Facebook

  by: JohnCurio - Category:

James Goodwin did not realize that he purchased a $2 million Powerball ticket until his friend saw on Facebook that someone bought the lucky lottery ticket at the same convenience store James did. Only then Goodwin, the retired mechanic from Kannapolis, checked the numbers only to find out the he holds the Power ball ticket worth $2 million.

The lucky lottery ticket was purchased at the Lane Express Food Mart in Kannapolis. It is a good thing that players have 180 days to claim their prize. And it is a good thing Facebook offers social experiences since 2004.

Goodwin now has a capital worth $1.36 million after taxes and he plans to share his fortune with family and friends. In fact, Goodwin is the 74th player who has won over a million dollars since the N.C. Education Lottery was launched in 2006.
