Beware of World Cup Lottery Scam

  by: JohnCurio - Category:

Another lottery scam cliché has recently congested football fans in UK via emails. The content of such email proclaims you to be the lucky winner of millions of pounds in the World Cup lottery.

Posturing as FIFA, the competition organizers plan to collect thousands of pounds from people who think they have won a large jackpot. Online security experts together with the police warn curious citizens not to be tempted by these false claims based on the information that criminal network is responsible for this lottery scam.

Pay particular attention to the email that carries the following content in its subject line: “FIFA 2010 INTL. AWARD”. Last year the Metropolitan Police was able to lock up around 120 websites that sold Premium League tickets, however, no action was yet carried concerning the websites in the UK that sell tickets to the World Cup.

Tony Neate, a representative of the consumer Get Safe Online group, asked the public to use common sense as something sounds too good to be true. He also stated that: “Fishy emails are changing all the time and it is nearly impossible to keep up with the latest lottery scam”. My advice to you is to play online lottery on legally operating websites.
