A Montréal Resident Wins the Lotto 6/49 Can$ 3,531,981 Grand Prize

Roger Hilaire, a resident of Laval, won the Can$ 3,531,981 Jackpot in the December 9, 2009, Lotto 6/49 draw.
On a trip to return the car he had just repaired for a friend, Mr. Hilaire made a quick stop at the convenience store to buy a ticket. That evening, he watched the draw on TV and was somewhat confused to see his combination on the screen: he first thought that his ticket was only a results sheet. It was only after his wife had double-checked the numbers that he believed he actually was holding the jackpot ticket!

The couple waited to have the check in their hands before announcing the news to their loved ones.
For now, the only plans they have are to take a cruise, treat their family and explore investment options.
