Viking Lotto (known in Denmark as Onsdags Lotto)  is a joint venture between the national lotteries in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Estonia. Viking Lotto started in 1993 and was the first of its kind in Europe.

Draws are held every Wednesday evening.  The rules are simple, select 6 numbers which can be any number between 1 to 48, called a combination. During the draw, 6 initial and 2 extra numbers are drawn from the cage of 48. The first prize is won by the ticket with 6 correct numbers and the remaining prizes are decided matching 5, 4, and 3 numbers respectively.
